Single reeds for Walsh shuttles
On special request from the USA, I am attempting to adapt my single reeds to actual Walsh shuttle drones. So far so good, and they have impressive volume and stability for such narrow bores.

To date I have two different drone configurations which I play almost daily. To finalize these beasties, I had to finetune the designs of the bores and shuttles to make them easier to use and easier to produce.

To produce a high quality material 3d printing is not the first method you would think of. The surfaces of the (often used FDM) prints feel rough and looking thourgh a microscope, the material shows to be porous full of internal spaces. These material properties are less than ideal to produce woodwind instruments.
