Since my post about updating bore designs, everything I learned is coming together.
To proof -to myself- that I understand what makes it all tick, I took on the challenge of making a pocket uilleann pipe drone with 3 octaves of D notes: D2 (73 Hz) D3 (147 Hz) D4 (294Hz).
It is by far the widest range of notes in my shuttle design thus far and to get it done, just changing bores lengths isn't the answer.
Months of developing and testing yielded these boxes full testers with varying notes and design approaches.

Proof of concept!
The one on the photo (right) is made with wood filled filament, then sanded and stained to get this amazing appearance.
It was made to accompany me to the Blowzabella workshop in Dranouter (2026).
Hopefully it will perform as good as it looks ;-)
