Besides development of shuttle drones, I am looking into valves for chanters and flutes.
These projects are progressing, but slowly.
Double whistle
On the DIY page you can find designs for simple drone flutes.
I use these simple flutes to develop keys, one example shown on right side. Currently I am testing different styles of keys, hinges and positions on the backside of the whistle.
Using these, the extra flute can become a colourful addition to your (Irish) whistle playing.
Petit Chalumeau
The Petit Chalumeau is an additional chanter used in the Musette de cour.
Like the double whistle, this extra chanter can add to the musicality by extending the range (to higher notes), or playing simultaneously with the main chanter.
